Keto Fox Tail Millet Recipe
Keto Fox Tail recipe is totally vegetarian added with Soya chunks
and cheese. Balance of fat, protein and calories makes it ideal keto diet.
- Curry Pan with Glass Lid
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 cups Fox Tail Semolina
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese grated (Use any cheese in case it is not available)
- 1 cup Fresh mint leaves chopped
- 1 cup Onion finely chopped
- 2 cup soa chunks
- 2 pieces Green Chilli
- 1/4 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tbsp Jeera Seeds
- 6 pieces Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Chilli powder
- 3 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 3 tbsp Cocunut Oil
Cook the soya chunks by adding chilli powder and salt, drain the excess water and compress cooked chunks to release the excess water with plate.
Heat the the same pan and add 1 tbsp coconut oil and salt and fry till they brownish outside
Temporarily shift the browned soya chunks to another plate and let it sit there till we finish
Add the rest oil and crackle mustard seeds, jeera/cumin seeds and curry leaves till it is crispy
Add onion chopped and rest all ingredients till onions are brown color.
Add washed Fox Tail Millet and mix it well, add 2 cups water and grated cheese and let it cook
Close the lid and leave the pan to cook in slow heat
After 10 minutes check if the water has drained and millet is cook consistently, if not add 1 cup more water and cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add the browned soya chunks to the millet and serve hot.
Use a glass lid curry pan for preparation.
Use only standard Fox Tail millet.
Cheese can prepared at home too.
Remember to keep checking consistency of the preparation by adding water bit by bit, different Fox Tail millet have different cooking time.
